ZACHARY "ZACH" PAYNE

Zach practices in civil litigation, primarily in Insurance Defense and Trucking Litigation. Besides these practice areas, Zach also has transactional experience in Business and Corporate Law, and wills, trusts, and estates. He is admitted to practice before all Georgia trial courts, and is a member of the Sandy Springs Bar Association, and the State Bar of Georgia’s Business and Tort & Insurance Law sections.

Zach was born and raised in Niles, Michigan, and received degrees in Psychology and Political Science from Michigan State University in 2013.

After undergrad, Zach attended the University of Georgia School of Law where he obtained his Juris Doctorate degree, cum laude, in 2017. During his time at law school, Zach was an Articles Editor for the Journal of Intellectual Property Law, a Law School Association Council Scholarship recipient, and was a member of Dean’s Ambassadors, the Georgia Society of International and Comparative Law, and the Business Law Association. For practical experiences, Zach participated in the Business Law Clinic, helping small businesses with various startup issues, and the Corporate Counsel Externship, where he worked for the Coca-Cola Company in their Merger and Acquisition department.

Zach lives in the Virginia-Highlands and is the proud new father of two Bengal kittens, Kobe and Milo. When Zach is away from his desk, he enjoys tracking down good food in Atlanta, bow-fishing, spending time with his family and friends, and fantasy football.
