MATTHEW R. JOHNSON
Atlanta Civil Litigator
Matthew represents clients in numerous areas of civil litigation, including insurance defense, trucking law, property loss, and commercial disputes. He is admitted to practice before all Georgia trial courts, the Supreme Court of Georgia, and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. Matthew is also admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.
Matthew grew up in Fayette County, Georgia, and received his undergraduate degree from Auburn University in 2006. He subsequently obtained his Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2009. During law school, Matthew served as a Notes Editor for the Georgia Journal of International and Comparative Law and was an Andrea R. Bennett scholarship recipient.
Prior to joining O’Daniel McDonald, Matthew worked with the U.S. Department of Labor and practiced in the areas of labor and employment law with a boutique Atlanta law firm.
When away from the practice of law, Matthew enjoys fly fishing, Braves baseball, college football, and spending time with family.
